Biography: Michael D. Walter 59 of Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at home following a 6 month battle with cancer. Mike was born December 19, 1960 in Bucyrus to the late Richard J. and Catherine L. (Thomas) Walter. He is survived by brothers Joseph (Julie) Walter of Charlotte, MI, Tom Walter of Bucyrus, and Matt Walter of Prospect; as well as nieces and nephews Christopher Walter, Samantha (Nick) Falhaber, Katie (Bob) Shoemaker, Sherry (Damian) Byrum, and Joe Walter. great niece Raegan Horne and nephew Uriah Byrum.
Mike was a lifelong Bucyrus resident and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1978. He worked at Checkmate, IB Tech, and various other local establishments. Mike enjoyed art, fishing, and golfing.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in Oakwood Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials be made to the donor's choice and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com.
