Melvin Ray Osborne

December 25, 1957 — November 27, 2024

Melvin Ray Osborne, 66 of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on November 27, 2024. Melvin was born December 25, 1957 in Pike County Kentucky to the late Steve Osborne and Gracie Dalton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Ronald and Steve Osborne.

Melvin is survived by six siblings which include sisters Ann (Sam) Sweeney of Bucyrus, Bea Riels of Bucyrus; Dorene Cole of Bucyrus, and Denise (Troy) Evans of Galion; two brothers Harold (Susan) Osborne of Danville, Kentucky and Ken Osborne of Bucyrus; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Melvin attended school in Matewan W. Virginia and was an avid Ohio State Fan. Even though the family is saddled with loss, they take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and is now in the hands of his maker. Over the last few years Melvin’s life has been defined by shining his faith and love of Christ. He knows where his eternal resting place is in Heaven.

The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, 215 N. Walnut St., Bucyrus on Monday December 2, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Melvin’s brother Harold Osborne will say a few words and prayer. The burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
