Biography: Melissa Marie Hancock, 43, of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday at the Ross Heart Hospital, her death was unexpected. Melissa was born Feb. 1, 1971 in Bucyrus to the late David Hancock and Violet R. (Masters) Shealy who survives along with her step father Weldon Shealy. In addition to her mother and step father, Melissa is survived by son Josh (Alexandria) Hancock of Alvada, OH and daughter Casey (Ben) Reinhart of Bucyrus; grandchildren Hailey Marie Mills, Dustin Jerrod Davis Jr., and Noah Michael Bowman; brothers Steven Hancock of Chula Vista, CA and Christopher (Melba) Hancock of Bucyrus; nephews Curtis and Travis Hancock; step brothers Mark (Debbie) Shealy, Tad (Kelley) Shealy, Lance (Nikki) Shealy, and Troy (Brooke) Shealy; as well as aunts and uncles.
Melissa was an employee of Waycraft Industries and lived her entire life in Bucyrus. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. Melissa had a love for cats and enjoyed fishing, wrestling, and garage sales. Most of all, Melissa loved her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 pm in the Good Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. David Bliss officiating, burial will be in Nevada Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Friday from 3-5 pm.
