Mary Ward

Biography: Mary A. Ward, 60, of Bucyrus passed away early Sunday morning June14, 2015 in the Cleveland Clinic.  Mary was born July 27, 1954 in Bucyrus to the late Darrell and Ura (Tharp) Young.  She was married Feb. 11, 1984 to Jerry L. Ward Sr. who preceded her in death on May 19, 2006.  She was also preceded in death by sisters Barbara Spurlock and Alva Wellman, brother John Young, and 2 nephews.
 
Mary is survived by her son Jerry Lee Ward Jr. of Bucyrus; granddaughter Yumalala Ward; brothers James (Setsuko) Young of Berea, KY; Earnest (Esther) Young, Robert (Janice) Young, Larry (Diane) Young all of Bucyrus; sisters Gloria (Pastor Carl) Angel, Oceola and Pat (John) Fogus of Michigan City IN; brother and sister in laws Jack and Bonnie Ward of Mentor and Richard and Sandra Ward, special friend Granny, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary worked as a waitress for many years at Carolyn’s Kitchen and loved her customers.  She was a member of the Oceola Pentecostal Tabernacle and enjoyed Bingo, Garage Sales, and NASCAR.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will follow in Oceola Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Church and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
