Mary R. Buckner

Biography: Mary R. Buckner, 68 of Oceola passed away on Monday March 16, 2020 at Signature of Galion.  Mary was born October 29, 1951 in Vanceburg, KY to the late Cecil and Lona (Bloomfield) Burton.  She was married October 27, 1978 to Gilbert Buckner who survives.  She is also survived by children Chris (April) Martin of Indiana; Amy (Kevin) Brewster of Bucyrus; Linda (Brian Ahlefeld) Buckner of Oceola; step son Wesley Buckner of Bucyrus; grandchildren Sherri (Nevin) Finley of Ashland, OH, Shelbi, Kyle, Emma, and Sadie Martin all of Indiana, Arianna, Alia, and Landen Brewster all of Bucyrus, Dakota Buckner of Bucyrus, and Trey Coffey of Mansfield; 4 great grandchildren Maya, Harper, Zylah, and Zarabeth; brothers Charles Burton of Columbus and Cecil Allen (Tina) Burton of Bucyrus; sisters Bonnie (Ted) Gilliam of Bucyrus and Freda Burton of West Virginia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary attended Bucyrus High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pentecostal Tabernacle in Oceola and enjoyed garage sales, Church fish fry's, serving the Church, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 18, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will follow in Oceola Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to the church and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
