Mary J. (Myers) Shelt

Biography:  Mary J. (Myers) Shelt, 63, of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday Oct. 22, 2015 at Heartland of Bucyrus following a 3 year battle with cancer.  Mary was born May 17, 1952 in Galion to the late Franklin and Nora (Hammond) Myers.  She was also preceded in death by sister Patricia Dant and sister in law Rhonda Myers.
 
Mary is survived by husband Raymond; daughter Tracey (Tommy) Howard, of Bucyrus; grandchildren Tyler, Jordan (Tiffany Towns), and Mackenzie; great grandchild Noelle Mutchler; nephew she helped raise Rashaad Allen; brother Franklin Myers, Bucyrus; sisters Ada (Sherman) Jarvis, Edna Myers, Joyce (Michael) Dewiel, and Debra (James) Banks all of Bucyrus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary worked for 33 years at A.O. Smith in Upper Sandusky and for the past 5 years at Coopers Mill in Bucyrus.  She was a graduate of Bucyrus High School in 1971.  The most important thing to Mary was her grandchildren and their activities.  She attended all of their ballgames and plays and they were her entire life.  She also enjoyed when the family got together and country music concerts.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  The family would like to extend thanks to all of the friends and family that have supported them through this difficult time.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
