Mary Arlene Peterman

Biography: Mary Arlene Peterman, 98 of Marion passed away on Tuesday June 5, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living in Marion where she had been a resident for the past 15 years. Arlene was born December 25, 1919 in North Robinson to the late Melvin Earl and Grace Mary (Rader) Nelson. She was married April 5, 1947 to Robert R. Peterman who preceded her in death in November 1981. She was also preceded in death by grandson Scott David Byrne and 2 brothers Ralph and Loren Nelson. Mary is survived by daughters Marlene (David) Byrne of Willard and Carol (Richard Paul) Holmes of Marion; special nephew Marvin (Gloria) Nelson; grandson Steven Robert (Kristen) Byrne; great grandchildren Allyson Elizabeth Hackworth and Kaleb Walton; as well as additional nieces and nephews.

Mary was a homemaker and last worked for Louisiana Pacific for 17 years, retiring in 1997. She graduated from North Robinson H.S. in 1937 and lived most of her married life in the Attica, New Washington, Bucyrus areas. She was an inactive member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Washington and for many years was active in the Grange.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Pairan officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice or the Am.
