Biography: Marie A. Langlois, 87 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday April 14, 2019 at Altercare of Bucyrus. Marie was born November 16, 1931 in Bucyrus to the late Gerald Russell Walterhouse and Florence (McKnight) Walterhouse. She was married November 7, 1954 to David C. Langlois who preceded her in death on June 12, 2008. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Lois Melton, and Janet Staton and one brother, Wayne Walterhouse.
Marie is survived by children Yvonne (Carl) Snyder of Bucyrus; Jeff Langlois and fiancé B.J. Monroe of Bucyrus; and Janet (James) Ransbottom of Bucyrus; grandchildren Melissa (Joe) Gee, Jeremy Snyder, Jason (Jenny) Snyder, Mandy (Nathan) Rossi, Jane Langlois, and David (LeTisha) Langlois; great grandchildren Joshua (Kaylee) Snyder, Nathan and Russell Gee, Sarah and Carley Snyder, Khoden Langlois, Khyden and Khasen Conklin; great great grandchildren Jayden and Maverick Snyder; and brothers Donald Walterhouse Tennessee, Ronald Parsel of Dayton, sister-in-law Betty Walterhouse of Bucyrus.
Marie was a homemaker lived most of life in Bucyrus except for a period from 1958 until 1968 when she resided in Long Beach, CA. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon 7th Day Adventist Academy in Mt. Vernon, OH. Marie enjoyed singing with the echo leer’s Choir while in high School and even whistled a song for a wedding. Her family was her life and she loved spending time with them and cooking family meals. She loved decorating her home and Christmas was her favorite holiday. She had a passion for baking and passed out countless holiday cookie trays to family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and collecting blue glassware. Any one that knew Marie knew blue was her favorite color.
