Biography: Margaret L. Fletcher, 87, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning April 14, 2018. She was born Dec. 1, 1930 in Lyra, Ohio to the late Rel and Leona (Runyon) Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Fletcher, in October of 1980, brothers; Edward Parker, Walter Parker, and Preston Jay Parker; sisters, Katheryn Stratton, Anna B. Prosser, and Nola Alice Stone; stepsons, Kenneth Fletcher and Paul Fletcher.
Margaret is survived by step daughter-in-laws, Shirley Fletcher and Jean Fletcher; brothers, Eldon (Sally) Parker of Bucyrus Ohio, Wilford (Edwina) Parker of Bremen Ohio, and Kenneth Riddlebarger of Bucyrus, Ohio and numerous step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Margaret spent most of her life in Scioto County, she moved to the Crawford County Area in Sept. 1982. She attended Bloom Local Schools and Shawnee State College. She worked for many years in the nursing field and was activity Director/Coordinator for the Villa and Flannery Nursing Homes in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Margaret was an active member of The Missionary Baptist Faith, The Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes, Inc., The Activity Coordinators of Southern Ohio, and a volunteer with Church Women United. Margaret had a very avid interest in helping her husband on the farm. Cooking for large family get togethers and friend groups. She enjoyed quilting and was a collector of trinkets such as bells and spoons. Margaret has also been a member of Calvary Baptist Church for the last 10 years.
Calling hours are Thursday 1-3 from 6-8 at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Bucyrus Ohio. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Bucyrus Ohio.Officiating services is Pastor Lance. Burial will be at Crawford County Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the church.
