Margaret Elizabeth Widman

Biography: Margaret Elizabeth Widman, 94 of Bucyrus, passed away on Monday April 18, 2022 at home.  Margaret was born July 21, 1927 in Bucyrus to the late Joseph and Lillie (Sukup) Moes.  She was married April 16, 1950 to Fred J. Widman who preceded her in death.  Margaret was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters Joseph Moes, Frederick Moes, Rose Mooney, and Mary Sanford. 

Margaret is survived by children Fred M. Widman of Bucyrus, Tim L. (Nancy) Widman of Bucyrus, Joanne (Scott) Riddle of Tiffin, Sandra J. (Tim) Bateman of Milford, OH, and Jeffery A. (Angela) Widman of Marion; grandchildren Elizabeth (John) Joseph of Pittsburgh, Christopher Riddle of Bowling Green, Evan (Emily) Riddle of College Park, Maryland, Alex Widman of Bucyrus, Samantha (Lucas) Rose of Boston MA, Natalie Widman of Marion, and Emma Widman of Marion; great grandchildren Celia and Isaac Joseph, and Brooks, Wyatt, and Jax Riddle. 

Margaret attended Holy Trinity Catholic School until 1942 and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1946 as well as the Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1949.  She worked as an RN at Bucyrus Community Hospital for over 28 years in the Labor and Delivery Department. 

Margaret was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society.  She was also a member of Mt. Carmel Alumni Assoc., Crawford Co. Genealogical Society, was a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Mobile and Pressure Clinic, the Bucyrus Community Hospital, and the Cancer Society Fair Booth.  Margaret enjoyed reading, growing roses, refinishing furniture, and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Prayer Services will be Celebrated on Friday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the Service.
