Biography: Luther W. Woodall, 87, of Bucyrus passed away on Monday Aug. 10, 2015 at home, he had been in declining health. Luther was born May 31, 1928 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Carl and Dorothy (White) Woodall. He was married Oct. 9, 1948 to Barbara (Black) Woodall who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Steve; step father George Oberlies; and brothers Richard "Bud" Woodall, Charles Lamonte Woodall Oberlies, and Richard Oberlies.
Luther is also survived by daughters Pam (Randy) Ballard, Bucyrus; Debra (Gary) Broach, Mansfield, and Kim (John) Stoneham, Crestline; grand children Ian (Lalaneaya) Bauer, Crestline; Travis (Jennifer) Broach, Mt. Sterling, KY; Monica (Rodney) Parson, New Concord, OH; Gina Woodall, Mansfield; Shamara (Ryan) Keith, Edmond, OK; James (Rachel) Long, Westerville, OH; and Adam Long of Riverhead, NY; great grandchildren Rhiley, Pheneaus, Courtney, Sierra, David, Rebekah, Samuel, and Sophia; ½ brothers Harry Oberlies of S. Carolina and Donald Oberlies of Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Luther was a member of the First Baptist Church. Luther was a member of the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio for 60 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. Luther enjoyed camping, fishing, and canoeing. He and Barbara were members of the Avion Travelcade Club and met and enjoyed many people from throughout the U.S. For several years they vacationed in Florida and Arizona. Most of all Luther loved his family most and being a husband, father, and grandfather.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Dalrymple officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with Masonic Services being held at 5:45 pm Wednesday.
