Luellen M. "Smoke" Young

Luellen M. “Smoke” Young, 72 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday July 28, 2024 at Altercare of Bucyrus. Luellen was born February 1, 1952 in Bucyrus to the late Reuben and Dorothy (Travis) Reynolds. She was married December 19, 1981 to William “Mike” Young who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings Richard Barton, Peg Quillen, Carol Groves, and Susan Davidson.

Luellen is also survived by children Erin (James Matson) Briggs of Seattle, Washington and Christopher Young of W. Palm Beach Florida; and one grandchild Cole Young.

Luellen graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1970. She was a homemaker and helped her husband in the horse transportation business. Luellen lived for several years in south Florida and moved back to Bucyrus in 2019.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Oceola Cemetery with Pastor Mike Darling officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made in the form of contributions to Alzheimer’s Foundation. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
