Loyd H. Butler

Biography: Loyd H. Butler, 75 of Bucyrus went to be with the Lord on Thursday Jan. 8, 2015 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Loyd was born March 17, 1939 in Kentucky to the late Willard and Stella Butler. He was married Feb. 3, 1967 to Betty (Zornes) Butler who survives. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Loyd is also survived by daughters Linda (Jim) Bassett, Crestline and Lisa (Jerry) Gifford, Bucyrus; grandchildren Cara Zellner, Washington D.C. and Cody Zellner of Circleville; one great grandchild expected; and one sister Pauline Dyer of Bucyrus.
Loyd retired in 2004 from Glen-Gery Brick Co. He moved to Bucyrus at the age of 16 from Kentucky. Loyd attended the Freedom Fellowship Church and was a gentle, devoted, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a gifted woodworker and was a devoted Cleveland Browns Fan.
