Lloyd Bloomfield Jr.

Lloyd Bloomfield Jr., 73 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday September 16, 2023 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.  Lloyd was born February 14, 1950 in Mansfield, OH to the late Lloyd Bloomfield Sr. and Opal Mae (Nichols) Bloomfield.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by granddaughter Brianna Thoman, sisters Margaret “Peggy” Weiler and Loyanna Noggle, brother Mike Bloomfield, niece Kelli Jo, and nephew Joshua Matthew.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Diana (Beatty) Bloomfield whom he married April 21, 1995; his step mother, who raised him, Joan K. (Fry) Bloomfield; children Tammy (Chad) Lacey, Elizabeth (Lloyd) Kyrk, Jessica Beavers, Robert Thoman, and Todd (Tiffany) Bloomfield; step daughter Brandy McKee; grandchildren Hayley Kyrk, Ashley and Heather Banks, Ethan, Evan, Jana Beavers, Dillon and Heidi Thoman, Alex Bloomfield, Ty Floher, Weston Gray, Tyler (Chelsea), Christian, Portia McKee; great grandchildren Daniel, Lily, Tesalyn, Eleana, Elliott, Kamdyn, Kodan, and Kayden;   siblings Nancy Knell, Cloyd “Coke” Bloomfield, General “Bud” Bloomfield, Patricia Highfield, and Roger Bloomfield; his children’s mothers Rose Ann Davis and Sandra Lee Thoman; as well as many nieces and nephews and his pet dog, Marley.

Lloyd retired in 2009 after working 42 years at Swan Rubber.  He loved his family and always tried to do things for his kids.  Lloyd was a Cadillac enthusiast and enjoyed classic cars and motorcycles.  He collected eagles, flags, and lighthouses and enjoyed going fishing.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Angel officiating and burial to follow in Sandusky Twp.
