Linda J. Mills

Biography:  Linda J. Mills, 70, of Bucyrus, passed away on Wednesday April 15, 2015 at home.  Linda was born Sept. 13, 1944 in Sulphur Springs to the late Kermit William and Rena Clara (Crum) Berger.  She was first married to Russ Lee Slanczka and her second marriage was to Donald Glenn Mills who preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1988.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother Kermit William Berger.
 
Linda is survived by son Russell Lee (Jodie Rhees) Slanczka of Butler; daughter Rebecca Lyn Mills of Bucyrus; grandchildren Tucker James Slanczka and Donald Lee William Mills; sisters Virginia Ruth Taylor of Lima; Karen Sue (Duane) Edwards of Greenwich; Doris Clara (Paul) Komisarek of Flat Rock, MI; sister-in-law Linda Berger of Toledo; nieces and nephews Steve and Paul Taylor, Annette Taylor, David Taylor, Christine Keller, Tammy Biggins, Kenny Berger, Erica Shoemaker, Carie Edwards, Greg Komisarek and Amy Komisarek Long who she was also the Godmother of;  she is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.
Linda worked at Swan Rubber for 38 years.  She attended Sulphur Springs School and graduated from the second graduating class at Wynford in 1965.  Linda attended college in Toledo and studied accounting.  She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose, Am. Legion Post 181, and was a lifetime member of the Amvets.  Over the years, Linda was a volunteer for the Am. Red Cross where she worked as a contact person, Meals on Wheels, and CONTACT Crawford County. Linda had attended St. John Lutheran Church in Sulphur Springs, First Presbyterian Church, Good Hope Lutheran, and Wayside Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Compton officiating.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 until the time of service.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
