Biography: Lewis Wayne Zornes, 46 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday June 21, 2015 in Upper Sandusky with his brother Billy Zornes. Lewis was born April 2, 1969 in Bucyrus to the late Paul Zornes and Ruthie (Mullins) Zornes of Nevada, OH. He was married Aug. 22, 2014 to Tina L. (Cooley) Zornes, the love of his life. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by former wife Linda Perez Zornes, Cousin Norman Ray Thompson on June 1, 2015; maternal grandparents Ray and Ida Mullins; and his Shitzu Mix Dog “Butters”.
In addition to his mother and wife, Lewis is survived by son Preston Zornes; step children Ashley Alberty and Tianna Howell; grandchildren Lily and Kane Alberty; sister Candida Abresch, Galion; Yorkshire Terrier “Willy”; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lewis was currently an auctioneer for Zornes Auction Factory. Lewis loved riding his motorcycle, camping, boating, kayaking, and fishing. His favorite pastime was working with the Kurtzman Crew on building up his monster making skills and spending time with his family. Lewis was very passionate about everything he did. His heart was gold, and it brilliantly shined outward. He had many skills and talents and was very good at all of them. Lewis never took anything for granted, and was always ready to offer help to anyone in need. Lewis’s love was unconditional and to know Lewis Wayne was a true blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Lewis Wayne attended Lewis Co. Ky Schools and graduated from the Cincinnati Mortuary College. He received his Auctioneer Diploma from Reppert Auctioneering School. He was a former member of the NW Ohio Board of Realtors and was a member of the NW Ohio Million Dollar Sales Club.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm (in conjunction with his brother Billy’s) at the Zornes Auction Factory with Bishop Ted Thomas and the Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will follow in Whetstone Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Auction House on Friday from 2-8 pm.
