Biography: Larry Watson of Crestline passed away on Friday June 12, 2015 at Mifflin Care Center, Mansfield following a brief illness, he was 69. Larry was born Aug. 31, 1945 in Monroeville, OH to the late Clarence and Susie (Hensley) Watson. Larry was married to the former Bonnie Bowman. He is also preceded in death by sister Thelma Russell, Beverly Platt, Sharon Koon, Janice Correen, and Mary Elizabeth as well as brother Clarence Lee Watson Jr.
Larry is survived by Sister Kathy Cook of N. Fairfield and Brothers Kenneth of West Farmington, Thurman of Warren, Loren of Bucyrus, and John of Ashland; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Larry served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War and his unit was located at the Berlin Wall. After Larry left the Army he worked at City Tire and purchased the business from Willy. He owned and operated City Tire for many years until he retired in the early 1990’s. He was a member of the Crestline VFW post #2920.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 noon in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you consider donations be made to the funeral home.
