Larry DeWain Smith

Biography:  Larry DeWain Smith, 73, of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday Oct. 12 at Altercare of Bucyrus, he had been in failing health since December.  Larry was born March 23, 1941 in Bucyrus to the late Lawrence A. and Beulah (Oberlander) Smith.  He was married Sept. 12, 1987 to Linda Lou (Thomas) Smith who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, great granddaughter Harley Shope, and stepson Kevin Morgan.
 
Larry is also survived by children and step children;  Rebecca (Bill Arnold) Shope and Randy Smith both of Bucyrus; Wayne Morgan, Kay Nickler, Melvin (Becky) Morgan, Marc (Cheryl) Morgan, Tresa VanBuskirk,  4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother James Smith and sister Joyce Carpenter.
Larry retired 7 years ago from the D. Picking Company after 49 years, he was a coppersmith.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Thomas officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
