Biography: Kathleen Louise Tidball, 71 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday Dec. 7, 2013. Kathy was born on August 21, 1942 in Canton, Ohio to Leroy and Mable (Daniels) Hosler. In 1976, she moved to Bucyrus with her family.
While in Canton, Kathy worked with and volunteered for organizations working with those with mental disabilities as a teacher. Kathy was very passionate about her work and loved all of her students and their families.
Kathy worked at the Bucyrus Telegraph-Forum for almost twenty years. At the TF she developed many lifetime, cherished, and close-knit friendships with her coworkers and her families. She loved working with the newspaper “kids” that she served and truly enjoyed.
Kathy was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church for 37 years. Her faith was very important to her and she was a huge supporter of the school and church.
On July 1, 1968 she married James who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Judy and her brother, along with her parents. Kathy is survived by her children Amy Brown of Columbus, Emily Tidball of Cleveland, Martha Tidball of Bucyrus and Elizabeth and David Wurm of Bucyrus. Also surviving are her cherished brother and his wife, Roy and Kathy Hosler of Canton, her nieces and nephews Susan, Barb, Theresa, Jim, Rob, Rachel and Mark and her great nephews Edision and Ian. She also had four special grandchildren, Cecilia, Yzzy, Kason and Gus. She was especially devoted to her grandson Henry.
Kathy truly loved children, and spent her time creating games, crafts and puzzles for the kids in her life. She enjoyed working as an “unofficial” classroom aide to a number of grades at Holy Trinity School over the years, including her special sewing group that she worked with during the lunch hour.
Kathy valued education and worked to pass her love of learning on to the children in her life. She believed in the importance of a Catholic Education, and for that reason, in lieu of sending flowers, she requested that donations be made to Saint Bernard’s Catholic School where her daughter, Martha, teaches.
