Biography: June L. Heil, 88 of Bucyrus went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday Nov. 16, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus; she had been in failing health for the past two years. June was born June 1, 1926 in Wyandot Co. to the late Charles and Leona (Watts) Billings. She was married Nov. 16, 1946 to Raymond Heil, they would have been married 68 years if Ray had not passed on May 14, 2007. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by granddaughter Beth Ann Korner, brother Robert Billings and brother and sister in law Wilford and Isabelle Billings.
June is survived by daughters Linda Heil of Bucyrus; Pamela (Pastor William) Wert of Monnett; and Jacalyn Groves of Chatfield; grandchildren Lisa (Ron) Babbs, Marion; Jesse (Amber) Groves, Cardington; Pete (Beth) Heil, Bucyrus; grandson in law Benn Korner of Monnett; 8 great grandchildren; brother Richard Billings, Chicago; sister Lillian (Billy) Martin of Bucyrus; sister in law Virginia Billings Rambo of Thornville, OH; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
June was a homemaker and graduated from Mt. Zion High School. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and she loved the outdoors, especially gardening and mowing.
Graveside Services at Oakwood Cemetery will be held on Wednesday Nov. 19, at 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday Nov. 25, 2014 at 6:00 pm (Please note date) at Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 pm until the time of the service. The family suggests memorials be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, Lighthouse Baptist Church, or Wayside Christian School through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
