Josephine Lanzillotta

Biography:  Josephine Lanzillotta, 93, formerly of Bucyrus and Galion, passed away early Tuesday April 1, 2014 at the Adams Lane Nursing Home in Zanesville.  She had lived with her daughter in Zanesville for the last five years and was a resident of Adams Lane the past year.  Josephine was born Sept. 11, 1919 in Bucyrus to the late Dominic and Mary Congetta (Rusella) DiBlasi.  She was married Oct. 25, 1947 to Louis Lanzillotta who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by 5 siblings.
 
Josephine is survived by daughter Cecilia (Forest) Guss of Zanesville, OH; sons Lawrence (Mary) Lanzillotta of Virginia and David (Jessie) Lanzillotta of Lewis Center, OH; 6 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and one sister Mary Kay Cheesman of KY.
 
Jospehine graduated from Bucyrus High School and moved to Galion after her marriage.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion. 
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father John Miller as Celebrant, burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimers Foundation and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
