Joseph H. Murr Sr.

Joseph H. Murr Sr., 73 of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday June 15, 2023, at Legacy of Bucyrus.  Joseph was born September 17, 1949, in New London, OH to the late Floyd D. and Burnittia (Schafer) Murr.  He was married on March 30, 2001, to Karen (Morris) Murr who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Frank, sisters Emma Fife, Lillian Myers, and Terry Murr, as well as 2 stepsons Michael and Samuel Benedict.

Joseph is also survived by children Woody (Patricia) Shepherd of New London, Joseph (Dawn) Murr Jr. of Norwalk, Chris (Lisa) Murr of MS, Joshua Murr of Mt. Gilead, and Cherokee (Aaron) Watkins, step kids Donnie (Crystal) Benedict of Bucyrus, Emma Lilly of Bucyrus Ruth Lewis and Phyllis (Will) Benesley; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Pete Murr of New London, sister Pauline Nelson of New London, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph moved to Bucyrus from New London 30 years ago and enjoyed fishing, cooking, and camping when he was younger.
