Joseph Gregory Landis

Joseph G. Landis, 54 of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday July 17, 2023 at home.  Joe was born July 13, 1969 in Bucyrus to the late Jim A. Landis and Cindy (Bicknell) Landis who survives in Bucyrus.  He is also survived by brothers Matt (Angie) Landis and Mark (Shannon) Landis as well as nephews Matt and Aiden and one niece Breanna.

Joe graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1988 and briefly attended the Columbus College of Art and Design.  He last worked at Whirlpool for 15 years.

Joe was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and in addition to being an artist, enjoyed collecting antiques, doing family genealogy, listening to classical and 80’s music, going on car trips, and keeping in touch with his high school friends. Joe was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Paul Fahrbach as Celebrant and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with the Rosary being recited at 5:45 pm.
