John Charles Cornett

John Charles Cornett, 59 of Oceola went to be with the Lord on Monday September 23, 2024 at home, his death was unexpected. John was born March 28, 1965 in Bucyrus to the late John H. and Curlene (McDannell) Cornett. He was married May 1993 to Gail (Logan) Cornett who survives.

John is also survived by son John Cornett; stepson Seth Hardymon; sisters Norma L. (Willis) Meade of Oceola, Wilma Cornett of Bucyrus, and Tammie D. (Gary) Ross of Sycamore; and his pets Copper, Bella, and Tinker.

John graduated from Wynford High School in 1984 and last worked at HTI in Galion. He attended the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Oceola and loved bluegrass music. John also enjoyed camping, going to Pigeon Forge every year, and being around his family.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm in the Pentecostal Tabernacle in Oceola with Pastor Carl Angel officiating and burial to follow in Oceola Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
