Biography: John Charles Baehr, 72 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday February 10, 2017 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. John was born January 30, 1945 in Bucyrus to the late Ernest and Evelyn (Miller) Baehr. He was married Nov. 7, 1983 to Helen (Dyer) Baehr who preceded him in death on November 2, 2013. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brother James E. Baehr.
John is survived by step children Rodney (Eleanor) Harvey of Bucyrus, Tim (Anita) Harvey of Florida, and Janey (Robert) Ritchey of Florida; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Beatrice Willetts of Nevada, OH and Nancy (Robert) Starkey of Lynchburg, VA; and sister in law Sarah Baehr of Circleville, OH.
John graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1964. He worked at Ohio Locomotive Crane as a machinest; Swan Rubber in Quality Control and with his Dad in the AMC Dealership in Bucyrus as a mechanic.
John was a member of the Oceola Pentacostal Tabernacle, was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a Life Member of the AMVETS and DAV.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com.
