JoAnn Crawford

JoAnn Crawford, 80 of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday February 1, 2024 at Orchard Park.  JoAnn was born April 2, 1943 in Vanceburg, KY to the late Paul and Goldie (Hobbs) Patton.  She was married August 3, 1962 to Shelby A. Crawford who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by daughter April Crawford and sister Madeline Patton.

JoAnn is survived by children Paul (Teresa) Crawford and Shelly (Larry) Schifer both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Elaine (Ed) Gubernath, Adam Picou, Nathan (Kelsey) Schifer, and Raven Crawford; great grandchildren Ashlynn, Chase, and Emma; brothers Danny, Allen, Tony (Heather), Randy, and Dobo Patton; sisters Judy Eldridge, Barbara Gilbert, and Debbie Cooper, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

JoAnn moved to Bucyrus in 1966 from Vanceburg and was a homemaker in her earlier years and then as Dietary Aide at Heartland of Bucyrus.  JoAnn enjoyed sewing clothes for her family, crocheting Afghans, and making chocolate candies to give to friends and family, especially at Christmas time.  You could always find JoAnn with her best friend Wanda Lynn having a cup of coffee.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
