Jill Ann (Metzger) Spears

Biography: Jill Ann (Metzger) Spears, 67 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday April 2, 2022 at home.  Jill was born November 9, 1954 in Bucyrus to the late John "Jack" Metzger Sr. and Dorothy M. "Doe" (Murphy) Metzger.  She was formerly married to Bennie Spears and is survived by two sons Ryan (Shannon Naveja) Spears and Brian (Sharon) Spears.  She is also survived by grandchildren Seayra Burkhart, Calista, Camden, Colette, Braedon, and Bricen; brother Jack (Jackie) Metzger of Huron; nephews Josh, Jeff (Kelly), and Jacob (Merideth) Buckley and niece Jessica Metzger, as well as several great nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Jill retired from MTD in Shelby after working over 30 years.  She graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1973 and enjoyed spending time at Lake Erie and being with her family.  Jill was a member of the American Legion Post 181. 
At Jill's request there will be no formal services.  The staff of the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements and memorials may be made to Stein Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
