Jason E. Candel

Jason E. Candel, 45, of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 29, 2024, in Kenton Ohio. Jason was born February 9, 1979, to Carl Brechner and Zelma (Cruz) Spence in Valparaiso Indiana. Jason is preceded in death by Jim Robinson and Lucille Robinson; grandparents Carmen (Hipolito) Cruz; cousins, Jacqueline Jones and Robert Miller.

Jason is survived by his mother, Zelma (Bob) Spence; adoptive father, Gary (Jennifer) Candel; children, Zarie, Seraphina, and Delilah Candel, brother, Brandon Robinson (Heidi and Harlow); sister, Heather Swinehart (Ayden Swinehart), aunts, Nellie (John) Kingsbury, Tresa (Earl) Houston, Noemi Lopez, and Carmen (Brad) Werner; uncles, Paul Cruz, Anthony Cruz, Rick (Alyssa) Cruz, and Paulie (Grisselda) Cruz as well as numerous cousins

Jason was a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. Throughout the years Jason worked numerous jobs with his last being tow truck driver. Jason was an avid Michigan fan and enjoyed playing darts with friends.

Per Jason’s request, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with friends and family. Memorial contributions can be made to Riverside Heart Hospital.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Riverside Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Jason.
