Biography: Janice C. Miller, 71, of Bucyrus passed away on February 7, 2014 in Marion General Hospital. She had been ill for many years but yet her death was unexpected. She was born March 9, 1942 in Swords Creek Virginia to the late Floyd James and Dora (Dye) Bostic.
She is survived by her sons, Scott Miller, Whitney Miller, James (Jamie) (Maranda Furr) Miller all of Bucyrus and her step sons, Jimmy (Bonnie) Miller of Tennessee and Bobby Miller of Florida. She is also survived by her special grandchildren, Joshua Miller, Brittany Miller, and Madilynn Miller as well as Madison, Ethan, Sydney Furr who were loved just as much; her brothers, Donald Bostic of Bath, Pennsylvania and James Bostic of Joppa, Maryland; her sisters, Lois Gay (William) Dye of Bucyrus, Linda Putman of Bucyrus, and Debra (Barry) Taylor of Honaker, Virginia.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Vester (Red) Bostic and Bobby Bostic; her sister, Phyllis Whited and the love of her life, her dog Buffy.
She attended school in Swords Creek, Virginia and worked for Check Mate Boats, Fleetwood Homes, and Lebanon Apparel in Virginia.
She was a loving, caring, compassionate, and simple person. She never met a stranger and always welcomed everyone. She loved everyone and would help anyone out who was in need. She loved her Angels, flowers, wind chimes, and the humming birds coming to her feeders. She truly enjoyed sitting outside and spending time with her family and friends gossiping away and telling stories. One thing about her, you never left her home with taking something with you. Most of all she had a love for her children and grandchildren that was indescribable.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Services will be held at 7 pm with Pastor Barry Taylor and Bishop Ted Thomas officiating. Her wishes were to be cremated and a burial will be set at a later date.
Mom would not have wanted you to dress up for her, so please come as you are.
