Janet Arlene Woods

Janet Arlene Woods, 95 of Marion and formerly of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday September 5, 2024 at Legacy of Marion. Janet was born October 10, 1928 in Bucyrus to the late Norman L. and Gladys (Shutt) Heiby. She was married November 9, 1947 to Harold L. Woods who preceded her in death on September 30, 2003. Janet was also preceded in death by brothers Richard, Charles, and Donald as well as sisters Ilene and Irene.

Janet is survived by daughters Cheryl Wolf of Tucson, Arizona, Melanie (Larry) Payne of Marion; grandchildren Jennifer, Rodney, Stacey, Brett, and Kelsie; great grandchildren Stephen, Jake, Makinsie, Maddison, Jackson, Drake, Josie, Finnley, Berkley, Hazel, Lincoln, Vaeda, Wrigley, and Holten; great great grandchildren Hadley, Brooklyn, Lincoln, and Alex.

Janet graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1946 and moved to Marion in 2010. She was a homemaker and in her later years helped her daughter at Payne’s Pizza in Marion. Janet enjoyed fishing, camping, cards, bingo, roller skating, and most of all spending time with family.
