Janet Luman

Janet Luman, 101 years of age of Bucyrus passed away early Sunday August 18, 2024 at Orchard Park in Bucyrus. Janet was born August 11, 1923 in Bloomville, Ohio to the late Fred “Arthur” Tallman and Tracie (Brewer) Tallman. She was married March 18, 1948 to Edwin Luman who preceded her in death. Janet was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Janet is survived by daughter Shelley (Ray) Darnell of Bucyrus and son Jan Luman of Utah; grandchildren Aaron Darnell and Nathan (Brittany Brown) Darnell; great grandchildren Brennen, Kayden, and Korynne Darnell, Gabe and Ely Wilson; and sister Sharon Tallman Bonham of Tiffin.

Janet worked for several years at Heidelberg University. She enjoyed sewing blankets for Children’s Hospital and other organizations as well as cooking and baking. Janet enjoyed traveling and visiting many parts of the world.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor David Smithey officiating and burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
