Janet J. McKee Cochran

Janet J. McKee Cochran, 78 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday November 8, 2023 at home.  Janet was born January 25, 1945 in Greenup County, Kentucky to the late Virgil and Mabel (Wolfe) Madden.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands Howard “Shorty” McKee and Charles Cochran, daughter Christy Rapp; granddaughter Shonda Green, and brothers Virgil, Dallas, and Terry Madden.

Janet is survived by daughter April (Charles) Hollis both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Brandon (Chelsea) Green, Tyler (Natasha) Green, Cole (Alina) Hollis, and Eli (Kearston Hulsmeyer) Hollis; great grandchildren Jake, Ella, Braelyn, Paisleigh, Luke and Stetson; brothers Jeff (Nancy) Madden and Tim (Kyle) Madden both of Garrison, KY; sisters Del (Boyd) Cochran of Pataskala and Myrel (Ted) Lewis of Sunbury; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Janet graduated from Lewis County High School in 1963 and lived most of her life in the Bucyrus area.  She worked at G.E. for several years until 1987 and last worked at Geyers.  Janet was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and enjoyed crafts and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Rebon officiating and burial to follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital and  expression’s of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
