Jane F Dewiel

Jane F. Dewiel, 96 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday January 31, 2024 at home.  Jane was born September 9, 1927 in Bucyrus to the late Francis J. and Mary Kathryn (Hancock) Haala.  She was married May 14, 1949 to Russell Leroy Dewiel who preceded her in death August 22, 1971.  Jane was also preceded in death by daughter Patricia “Patty” Dewiel; sisters Donna Hill and Mary Ann Mills; and brother James Haala.

Jane is survived by children Mike Dewiel, Jim (Pam) Dewiel, and Mary Dewiel; grandchildren John, Angie, Amanda, Joey, Toby, Brad, Schanda, Jane, David, and Roger; and sister Kathleen (Lowell) Adams.

Jane lived her entire life in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1945.  She worked for 20 years at Bucyrus High School in food service retiring in 1992.  Jane was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and sang in the funeral choir.  She enjoyed being with her family, watching the Ohio State football games, baking, cooking, and working around the yard and house.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Paul Fahrbach as Celebrant.  The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
