James David Wills Jr.

James “Jim” David Wills Jr., age 67, passed away at home, surrounded by family, August 19, 2024. Jim was born to the late James David Wills Sr. and Aldine Mullins March 5, 1957 in Detroit Michigan. Jim married Michelle (Somes) Wills September 3, 1975, they shared 48 wonderful years together. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Branda Wills, Patricia Siler, and Carolyn Wills; brother, Robert Wills; and cousin Mark Wills.

James is survived by wife of 48 years, Michelle Wills; children, Kathryn Townley, April Gallant, Jennifer Searls, Wendy (Michael) Brown, James Wills, Lloyd (Jamie Schlagenhauser) Wills; 24 grandchildren, some of the local grandchildren include, Michelle Wills, Matthew Townley, Jace Wills, Owen Wills, and Cameron Schlagenhauser.

Jim worked for many years at Plymouth Steel Mill. He was in the military and served in the 101 Airborne Division. He enjoyed painting landscapes on canvas and was self-taught throughout the years. Jim was always inviting family over to visit or to sit for a meal together. He was a coin collector and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
