Biography: James R. (Dick) “Catfish” Wright, 68, of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday March 19, 2015 at Bucyrus Community Hospital following an extended illness. Dick was born Aug. 14, 1946 in Roderfield, W. Virginia to the late James and Lettie (Greene) Wright. He was married Dec. 23, 1972 to Bonnie (Downing) Wright who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Joann Rosenblatt, Margaret Louise Patsy, and Martha Ann Wright.
Dick is also survived by children Margaret Louise (Jay) Keeton, New Washington; Steve (Becky) Marsh, N. Carolina; and Martha (Jeremy) Wright of Bucyrus; grandchildren Justin, Anisha, Crystal, Jessie, Jordan, Jacob, Seth, and Steven; 2 great grandchildren Braelynn and Derek; brothers Jim and Billy Wright both of CA; Tom Wright, MS; sisters Ruth Brewer, Bucyrus; Helen Caudill, Galion; Betty Sue Russell, Bucyrus; and Pauline Yosick, New Washington. Dick was also fond of his pet dog “Precious”.
Dick had last worked at Carter Machine in Galion and in prior years had worked at Crawford Steel and Cobey. He was a member of the Galion Moose Lodge and enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting and fishing. Most of all Dick loved his grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 6:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
