Inge Elfriede (Hensel) Fields

Biography: Inge Elfriede (Hensel) Fields 75 years old of 801 Rogers Street, Bucyrus, Ohio died Friday May 3, 2013. She was born Sept. 27, 1937 in Koenigszelt, Germany to Reinhold  Paul and Elfriede Natalie (Holly) Hensel, both deceased. Being displaced after WW ll, Inge and her family were expelled from their homeland in East Germany and sent to West Germany and she spent her youth in Dunkelsheim and in Seesen, Germany.  Inge and John Steinbeck, of piano fame, shared the same town, only different time periods.  She was married to Wayne Fields and they have celebrated their 53rd anniversary and she is survived by him.                                
She is survived by one son, Michael Wayne Fields and his wife Cynthia of Bucyrus; one daughter, Sharon Fay Howell and her husband Aaron  of Mt. Zion Rd. and one grandson, Jordan Paul Fields. She is also survived by a sister, Eveline Maria (Wilfried) Escholt of Taunusstein, Germany and two nephews,Andreas and Detlev Isreal of Weisbaden,Germany and a favorite cousin Erika Theil of Seesen, Germany.  Inge is also survived by cousins in Munich, St Goarshausen and Schweighausen on the Rhine.  Inge was preceded in death by her sister Helga of Bornhausen, Germany.    
Mrs.Fields lived in Bucyrus since 1960.She worked at K Mart for 21 years and retired from there in 1997. Inge enjoyed  her family , friends, gardening, traveling and her most beloved little white dog, Buddy.                                                                                  
Inge loved to travel and had made many trips across the Atlantic to visit relatives and her homeland.  She loved Hawaii and always wanted to return and she was very impressed with the beautiful scenery of Alaska.
Inge did find pleasure in being part of the International Friendship Club and the women from the countries of Germany, England, Newfoundland, Korea, Japan and Australia.  She also enjoyed the friendship of her co-workers at K- Mart and the K-Mart breakfast women.
Inge loved to plant and cultivate flowers in her back yard. At one time, the candidates for the Bratwurst Festival Queen found Inge’s back yard an attractive place for taking photographs prior to the competition.
As requested by Mrs. Fields, her body will be cremated and cremains placed in OakwoodCemetery. Also, as requested the decedent, there will be no services or visiting hours. The Munz-Pirnstill funeral home  will be in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Crawford Humane Society.
