Biography: Helen Wagner, 96, formerly of St. Rt. 98, Sulphur Springs passed away on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at Carlisle Place where she had been a resident for the past 7 years. Helen was born Jan. 18, 1920 in Holmes Twp. to the late George Wesley and Minnie A. (Cook) Walker. She was married May 19, 1946 to Carl M. Wagner who preceded her in death on May 14, 1987. She was also preceded in death by brother Loren F. Walker.
Helen is survived by nieces Kathy (George) Sheets of Sulphur Springs and Brenda (Gary) Billings of Bucyrus; great nephews Todd (Betty) Billings and their children Gage and Garrett; Brady (Lorena) Sheets, N. Ridgeville, OH; Lee Billings, Findlay; Dan Billings, Bowling Green; and Lance (Ashley) Billings of Findlay all who lovingly called her "Hunna"; sister in law Lois Walker, Bucyrus and brother in law Erwin “Bub” (Jean) Wagner of Bucyrus.
Helen lived her entire life in the community and graduated from Sulphur Springs H.S. She worked for 50 years in the office at Producers Livestock and for several years at Baumoel’s Department Store in Bucyrus. Helen was an active former member of the Zion Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Hans Scherner officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon Saturday until the time of service.
