Biography:  Helen M. Baum, 66 of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 21, 2013 in Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.  Helen was born on July 7, 1946 in Napoleon, Ohio to the Late Leroy and Ida (Rickenberg) Dickman.  On June 18, 1985 she was married to Jerry Baum who survives.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant daughter Shiela Badenhop.
Helen is survived by children, Janice (Cliff) Badenhop-Davis of Springfield, Dawn (Adam) Buxton of Galion,  Tom (Sally) Baum of Bucyrus, and Nedra Spees and friend Tina of Mississippi; grandchildren Luke and Megan Davis; Toshia and Maranda Johnson; Tyler Buxton; and Birdie, Elizabeth, and Rebecca Baum; sister Donna (Mike) White of Bellfontaine.
Helen worked at Galion Building and Loan for over 30 years.  She graduated from Florida, Ohio High School in 1964 and moved to this area in the mid 1970’s.  Helen was a member of the Ladies of the Moose and attended First Lutheran Church in Galion.  She enjoyed crafts and most of all loved her grandchildren, attending most of their activities.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Wheeler officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 pm.  The family suggests memorials be made to St. Josephs Parish School or Wayside Christian School.
