Biography: Helen D. (Harvey) Baehr, 72, of Bucyrus went home to be with the Lord Saturday Nov. 2, 2013 at 9:00 pm in Marion General Hospital. Helen was born Oct. 17, 1941 in Vanceburg KY to the late Robert and Leora (Jordan) Dyer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Joseph and Wendell Dyer, and sisters Linda Halter, Opal Pinion, and June Dyer. Helen was married Nov. 7, 1983 to John Baehr who survives.
Helen is also survived by children Timothy (Anita) Harvey of Merritt Island, FL and their son Nicholas; Rodney (Eleanor) Harvey of Bucyrus along with their children Michael and Shane Harvey and great grandchildren Brian and Olivia Harvey; and Janie (Bob) Ritchey, Florida and their children Amy, Amber, and great grandchild Kalieh Culpepper; siblings surviving are Brinda Dyer, Nevada; Freda Harvey Eldridge, Nevada; Beverly (Ronald)Kincade, Nevada; Roger (Beverly) Dyer, Lykens; James (Darlene) Dyer, Bucyrus; Sharon (Steve) Frisch, Bucyrus; Jenny Beck, Nevada; Penny (Terry) Barney, Benton; Birdie (Don) Fleming, Castalia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen worked at Checkmate Boats, Swan Rubber, loved gardening, flowers, visiting with friends and family and remembering the old times. Helen was a faithful member of Oceola Pentecostal Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
