Harold Ray Perkins

Biography:  Harold Ray Perkins, 71, of Bucyrus passed away on Monday October 7, 2013 at Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus.  Ray was born Sept. 22, 1942 in Melmore, OH to the late William Perkins and Essie (Murphy) Perkins Bright.  He is survived by his children Jackie and Tony Lewis of Mt. Gilead; Angie Hutchinson and Kevin Sellars of Medina; Beckie and Brian Morrison of Galion; longtime campanion Barbara Hayes of Bucyrus; grandchildren Kaila and Kyle Schock, Mt. Gilead; Chad and Rachael Lewis, Galion; Cody Hutchinson of Lexington, OH; Zachary and Alex Morrison of Galion; 2 great grandchildren Olivia and Owen Schock; brother William (Sarah) Perkins Jr., Bloomville; sisters Christine (Dave) Shealy, Tiro; Katie (Roger) Miller, Brokensword; Gloria (Frank) Klingenberger, Bucyrus; Beverly (Terry Nauman) Tracy of Tiffin; as well as over 60 nieces and nephews.
 
Ray retired from Timken as a mechanic after 20 years.  He was very active with the Antique Tractor Pull, serving as a past president and enjoyed working on Cub Cadets.  Ray was a graduate of the last graduating class from Lykens School in 1961.
 The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7 pm.  A private service will be held by the family.  Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
