Biography: Gwendolyn "Wendy" Carter, 46 of Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday July 14, 2020 at Galion Community Hospital unexpectedly following an apparent heart attack. Wendy was born March 11, 1974 in Bucyrus to the late Michael Stamper and Joyce "Linny" (Click) Stamper who survives in Sulphur Springs. She was married to Michael Carter for over 20 years and is also survived by children Mara (Andrew Morris) Maddle of Ludlow Falls, OH, Jaden Maddle of Bucyrus, and Lane Carter of Bucyrus; brother Doug Stamper of Bucyrus; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandparents Darrell "Grand dad" and Evelyn Lawhun, William Click, and Ruth Miller.
Wendy lived her entire life in Bucyrus and attended Bucyrus Schools. She worked for the past year with Anderson Merchandising. Wendy loved her family and was looking forward to the new grandbaby. She had a big heart and was a mother to everybody. Wendy enjoyed her flowers and ferry garden as well as reading and her pet dogs "Mollie" and "Bella".
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at the New Day Ministries in Bucyrus at 1:00 pm with Bishop Ted Thomas and Pastor Justin Lawhorn officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
