Biography: Glenn E. “Tuffy” Knapp, 83, of Columbus-Sandusky Rd., Marion, passed away on Friday Nov. 21, 2014 in Altercare of Bucyrus following an extended illness. Glenn was born Sept. 10, 1931 in Marion Co. to the late Roy and Doris (Miller) Knapp. He was married March 15, 1953 to Janet (Hart) Knapp who survives, they were married for 61 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister and brother in law Grace and Paul First; brother Ray and wife Linda, Paul, Phillip, and Garry Knapp.
Glenn is also survived by children Randy (Sally) Knapp and Katharine L. (Ed) Brause; grandchildren Jenny (Dean) Lewis; Sandra (Andy) Klingenberger, Brandon (Raeann) Brause; great grandchildren Tyler and Matthew Lewis, Brock and Bentley Brause; sisters Dorothy (Robert) Davidson of North Lewisburg and Judy (John) Blaskis of Youngstown; sister in laws Jean of Florida, Donna of Monnett, and Pam of Wyandot Co.
Glenn farmed most of his life and worked at Marion Elevator. Following retirement, Glenn worked for Jury Farms. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Kirkpatrick and enjoyed camping and fishing at Lake Erie.
A Memorial Service will be held at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7:00 pm with Rev. Don Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until the time of service.
