Gladys Marie Lester

Biography:  Gladys Marie Lester, 90 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Altercare of Bucyrus.  Gladys was born April 14, 1928 in Phelps, KY to the late George Lewis "Bud" Coleman and Maudie (Honaker) Coleman.  She was married January 19, 1946 to Ira H. Lester who preceded her in death on August 4, 1993.  She was also preceded in death by son Larry, 4 sisters, and 4 brothers.


Gladys is survived by daughters Carol Trout and Loretta Lester both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Eric (Emily) King, Kenny (Michelle) King, Justin (Fawn) Mollenkopf, Ryan (Jolene) Armstrong, Justin Leonhardt; great grandchildren Makenna Lee King, Tristan Ryan King, Taylor Alexis Leonhardt, Adia Amilea Armstrong, and Baley Armstrong; daughter in law Shelia Lester; and sister in law Marilyn Lester.
Gladys was a care giver and worked 18 years at Maplecrest and 18 years at the Bell Hoffman Michael Home as well as in private homes.  She moved to Bucyrus in 1959 and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mt. Zion. Her life was living for her children and grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Cannon officiating, burial will follow in Crawford Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
