Biography: Gerald B. "Jerry" Potter, 70 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday January 24, 2022 at home. Jerry was born July 9, 1951 in Coshocton, OH to the late Gerald Potter and Bunny (Fulks) Walker.
Jerry is survived by longtime friend Norma Burke and her children Amy (Don) Lang and Sean (Heidi) Burke; Sean's children Melody and Trenton; sisters Joni (Mike Collene) Potter and Janet (Paul) Nance both of Bucyrus and Tobe Conn of Columbus; nieces Carissa (Phil) Chester, Jessica (Jordan) Rall, and Krista (Nate) Dendinger, as well as nephews Jarrod Daniel and Aaron (Tracey) Daniel
Jerry attended Howe Military Academy in Indiana as a youth and graduated from Wynford High School in 1969 and attended Toledo University. Jerry traveled throughout the world working as a seismic surveyor for several years and upon returning to Bucyrus worked at several local factories.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery Columbarium on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 11:00AM. The Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting with final arrangements.
