Gary Lee Nelson

Biography:  Gary Lee Nelson, 69 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday Dec. 17, 2014 at Ohio State Univ. Hospital following a brief illness.  Gary was born Sept. 9, 1945 in Bucyrus to the late Ralph and Mary Jane (Bunn) Nelson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Freddie Nelson, sister Patsy Koons, and wife Diana (Lulenski).
 
Gary is survived by children Jennifer (Chris) Groves and Deborah Nelson both of Grove City; Beth (Jeremy) Lett of Sunbury; Robert (Jennifer) Nelson of Bucyrus; brother Ralph (Sue) Nelson of Galion; step daughters Brooke Krichbaum and Ashley (Kevin) Thomas both of Crestline; Kiley (Ryan) Gabriel of Galion; and Sarah Lulenski of New York; nieces Jody (James) Goode and Kelli (Jeff) Jones both of Florida.
Gary lived his entire life in this area and graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1963.  He retired from PPG after 45 years.  Gary was Past President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859, Crestline, OH.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, eagle watching, and Lake Erie.  Gary loved spending time with his girlfriend Diana Rinehart, family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday Dec. 20, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of services.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Richard M.
