Freeda Blankenship,

Biography:  Freeda Blankenship, 91 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday January 8, 2018 at Altercare of Bucyrus where she had resided for the past several years.  Freeda was born January 18, 1926 in Argo, KY to the late Aaron and Laura (Dotson) Blankenship.  On July 24, 1946 she married Venus (Leo) Blankenship and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1991.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Patsy in 1954; three brothers, Ed, Sid, and Aaron Blankenship Jr; 6 sisters Nellie Blankenship, Ada Mapes, Laura May Blankenship, Geneva Chapman, Ida Dotson, and Mindy Pry.


Freeda is survived by son Rodger (Dana) Blankenship of Bucyrus, OH; grandson Ryan (Tina Sargent) of Jeffersonton, VA; granddaughter Heather (Chelsey) Blankenship of Dublin, OH; two great grandsons Christopher Blankenship of Radford VA and Stephen Blankenship of Myamar, CA; as well as adopted sister Joann Dotson of Clay City, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Freeda moved to Bucyrus in 1965 and had worked at Swan Rubber for several years.
