Forrest G. Scott

Biography:  Forrest G. Scott, 77 of Bucyrus passed away Saturday Sept. 7, 2013 at home.  Forrest was born in Lewis Co. Ky. March 28, 1936 to the late Elwood and Edith (Esham) Scott.  On Sept. 19, 1959 he married Joyce (Wade) Scott who survives.  In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by 3 daughters; Gail (Dennis) Hamrick of S. Carolina; Tamara Segrest of Florida; and Rhonda (Randy) Scott of Bucyrus; 3 grandsons, Logan Scott, Daniel Segrest, and Scott Segrest; 1 step grandson, Dalton Scott; 2 step granddaughters, Reegan Scott and Jill (Ed) Platt; and 1 step great grandson Noah Platt.  In addition to his parents, Forrest was preceded in death by 1 sister Wanda Smith and 1 brother Donald Scott.
 
Forrest worked for General Electric Glass for 10 years and for Komatsu Dresser for 32 years, he retired in 1998.  Forrest was a handyman who could fix anything and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and helping with farming.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Christ Gospel Church with Rev. Jack Hager officiating, burial will follow in Attica-Venice Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Care Matters or Gideons.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
