Eunice M. Schimpf

Biography: Eunice M. Schimpf, 96, of Bloomville passed away peacefully on Friday evening May 1, 2015 at the Inn at Orchard Park. Eunice was born July 22, 1918 in Chatfield to the late Jacob and Erna (Brause) Kalb. She was married Oct. 25, 1941 to Paul F. Schimpf who survives.
Eunice is survived by children Mary L. (Jerry) Harrer, Bloomville; Jane S. Schimpf, Bowling Green; Gary Schimpf of Bucyrus; James E. (Kay) Schimpf, Plainfield, IL; and Allen F. (Becky) Schimpf of Bloomville; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Joyce and brothers Raymond and Paul Kalb.
Eunice was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She graduated from Chatfield H.S. in 1936 and Tiffin University. She was a member of College Hill United Church of Christ and the Women’s Guild of the Church. Eunice had been active in the Bloomville Eastern Star and Lykens Community Club.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at College Hill United Church of Christ with Rev. Robert Haskins officiating, burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the Church or the donor’s choice and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
