Biography: Esther M. Efaw Holtshouse, 89, a longtime Bucyrus resident passed away on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion. Esther was born Oct. 3, 1924 in Bucyrus to the late Otto J. and Gladys Lucille (Hoker) Grasley. She was first married to Richard Efaw who preceded her in death in 1975. In 1976 she married Robert Holtshouse who preceded her in death in 2007. She was also preceded in death by 3 sons, Robert and Richard as well as an infant; one great granddaughter Brenda Adams; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Esther is survived by daughters Eleanor Baldinger of Galion; Charlene (Robert) Travis, Bucyrus; Sharon (Jack) Chandler, Bucyrus; 12 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; brother Franklin Grasley of Galion; and sisters Naomi Van Buskirk of Upper Sandusky and Marjorie (Jim) Kurtzman of Cape Coral, FL.
A Homemaker, Esther attended Bucyrus Schools and was a member of Woodlawn U.M. Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, doll collecting, and her grandchildren.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
