Biography: Emma Louise Campbell, 90 of Bucyrus passed away peacefully early Monday Nov. 9, 2015 at Primrose Nursing Home in Marion. Louise was born October of 1925 in Marion to the late Raymond Irvin and Frieda (Duerr) Irvin Binau. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Chief Warrant Officer 4, Ret.Charles Campbell; daughter Christine Kalb; grandson Alexander Campbell; brothers Robert Irvin, Russell Binau, Robert Binau; and sisters Mary Ann Curry and Maxine Frye.
Louise is survived by sons Lt. Col. Ret, Charles E. (Victoria) Campbell, Springbranch, TX; Chief Warrant Officer 4, Ret, Mark I. (Ann) Campbell, New Windsor, NY; and Darrell Dean (Cindy) Campbell of Hamilton, OH; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren; brothers Gerald Binau and Otto Binau Jr. both of Upper Sandusky; sisters Betty Metzger, Lima and Ruth Larcomb, Delaware, OH.
Louise was active in PTA, and Scouts during her children's early years in Bucyrus. In the early1960’s when Charles went from Army reserve to active duty she has lived in Washington DC, Verdun France, Karlsruhl Germany, Pirmasans Germany, Hawaii, Kansas, Missouri Illinois. During those times she was active in the Officer Wives Club in many capacities. She was an Avon lady, a home daycare and has worked part time at Montgomery Ward in Bucyrus. She was an avid Tennis player until her early eighties when her knee's prevented her from playing. She was an excellent bridge player.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 14, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Good Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Pairin and Gene Luidhardt S.A.M. officiating, burial will follow in Brokensword Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the Church. The family suggests memorials be made to Good Hope Lutheran Church or Wounded Warrior Project. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com.
